Online Coaching is a simple and convenient solution to help you get healthier. Your Coach is with you all the way, cheering you on & helping you eat healthier and achieve your goals.
UpForIt coaches are handpicked by UpForIt to coach on various general health matters including, weight-loss, nutrition, well-being, healthy living and lifestyle management. Many coaches are specialists in their field with extensive experience in helping others achieve their goals. When you sign up you can view the specialties of each coach along with a biography so that you can choose a coach who is best suited to your goals and budget. If you don't find a coach that you love, you can let us know on the sign up page or send us an email at coaching@upforit.co.za and let us know what your perfect coach looks like.
Our coaches have qualifications in a number of fields, from; nutritional science and medicine through to health services and fitness training. All backed by substantial experience, working and coaching others in their area of expertise. When you sign up you can view the specialties of each coach along with a biography so that you can choose a coach who is best suited to your goals.
Our coaches can be cheerleaders who encourage you, drill sergeants who push you to achieve or rocket scientists who will blow you away with their wealth of knowledge. Working with a coach will enable you to set realistic and achievable health goals, and then to achieve them.
When you first start chatting to your coach, your coach will set up a mutually beneficial schedules to talk and let you know what their average response time is. If however you find that there really is a problem with your coach getting back to you, please email us at complaints@UPFORIT.co.za and we will intervene.
As you grow in relationship and trust with each other, you will find that you and your Coach will settle into a communication rhythm that works for both of you. For some that may mean that you and your Coach communicate constantly, while for others it may be that you just check in once a day.
UpForIt hand-pick their Coaches. They are people who have shown not only a commitment to learning and growing in their chosen field, but also people who are known to be credible and have integrity. In addition, UpForIt enforces a Code of Conduct for Coaches to ensure that all Coaches work and live up to the high standards that we set for them. With this in mind, it is understood that our Coaches will not divulge any information that was shared between you. The exception to this is if the Coach strongly believes that one of our other Internal Specialists needs to assist, in which case your permission will first be requested, before consulting someone else. Information is also stored securely on our servers.
To change coaches, you just need to cancel your contract with your current coach by emailing cancelmycoaching@UPFORIT.co.za and sign up with a new coach. When you hire a new coach, you'll get your first seven days for free to try it out again.
Yes, an electronic record will exist since information is typed into devices and stored. In addition, you Coach is likely to also make notes to help him/her assess how best to assist you. If you wish, you can request that you Coach deletes all your interaction, but this will only be done in extreme cases.
When you sign up you can view the price each coach charges along with a biography so that you can choose a coach who is best suited to your budget and goals. The price you see when you sign-up is a monthly fee you will be charged and you will know for sure what it is. There are no additional charges so there are no surprises.

If you're going to be away for vacation or other reasons, you can temporarily pause your subscription. To pause your subscription, send a mail to pause@upforit.co.za along with how long you would like to pause your subscription. When you pause your subscription, your billing will be paused also, and your billing cycle will resume at the end of the pause. You'll still get receipts for billing during this time, but you'll see that they're for R0.00. When you pause your subscription you will unlinked from your coach and will be unable to chat to your coach. You'll get an email reminder the day before your pause ends.
UpForIt has a Management Team tasked with running the business, which includes managing coaches. Should you have any concerns with your coach send us an email at complaints@UPFORIT.co.za and we will intervene.
If you find that you are unhappy with the level of service a coach is offering, please email us at complaints@UPFORIT.co.za and we will intervene. You can also choose to change your coach, to do so you just need to cancel your contract with your current coach by emailing cancelmycoaching@UPFORIT.co.za and sign up with a new coach. When you hire a new coach, you'll get your first seven days for free to try it out again.
With adult supervision, you have to be older than 13 to have a Coach. Notwithstanding, you will have to accept that any information that you share and communication between you and the Coach will at any time be available for inspection by your Parent or Legal Guardian. If you are 18 or older, you do not need adult permission.
Yes, at this point UpForIt is only South Africa focused. At some point we may expand our Service into other countries... watch this space!
All interaction between you and your Coach will be via the UpForIt App on your mobile device / smartphone. You will not need to talk at all, email or meet in person. Everything happens via chatting on the UpForIt App.
No, unfortunately not. UpForIt offers only 1-on-1 Coaching.
No. We do not permit any personal face-to-face contact between Coaches and Clients.

FOR COACHES:

A coach is responsible for R150 per customer per month. This money will be deducted before paying the coach.
Becoming a coach on UpForIt is easy! Sign up at: https://www.upforit.co.za/apply Membership includes training, marketing support, a certification in digital coaching, and a platform for turning your expertise into extra income. You will need to complete and pass the UpForIt nutritional course before we add you to the platform.
Payment will be made into a coach’s bank account 10 working days from receipt of payment. Coaches can’t increase fees for customers the option to update fees for new customers.

Yes once you're approved as a UpForIt coach, you'll have access to a private chat room on Skype for coaches. That's where you can ask questions about all the details of coaching, promotional opportunities, and working with clients.
